“Related Links is a tool to help webmasters increase page views on their sites. Given a page on your site, Related Links can choose the most related pages from your site and show them in a gadget. You can embed this gadget in your page to help your users reach other pages easily. Related Links also suggests searches that users can run within your site to find even more related pages.”
Don’t let the “invite only” thingy scare you, I sent an email, requesting for an invite, and about 1 minute later I received a response and my account has been activated so the guys taking care of this are really fast (thanks, guys!). To request an invite, simply send an email to relatedlinks@google.com with your Gmail address, website domains and approximate pageviews per day.
But obvious, the most interesting part is under the hood, as the links displayed should be based on Google’s own algorithm.

Blogger users: to implement the code into your template: simply paste the code in a widget. If you want to insert it into your template, use something to convert the code, such as the Blogger Adsense code converter.

I often see the Blogger domain of this blog and have a sinking feeling that I am stuck with this blogspot sub-domain. Believe me, there is nothing wrong in running your blog on a blogspot sub domain. There are instances of blogging successes on a blogspot domain too. It is just that with a custom domain and paid hosting, you have more flexibility and control over the various elements that comprise your blog. And for SEO benefits, it is advised to always run your blog on a custom domain – preferably using a blogging software like Wordpress – though Drupal would also make a good fit. More »
